Electronic Tagging of 43000 Heads of Livestock in the Northwestern Badia

Khaberni - The Director of the Agriculture Directorate of the Northwestern Badia Division, Engineer Aisha Nahar Al-Khazaaleh, said that 43,000 heads of sheep and goats in the division have been electronically tagged since the launch of the electronic tagging campaign for livestock.

Engineer Al-Khazaaleh added that, continuing the national tagging campaign in the Northwestern Badia Division, which started on the twenty-third of November last year, 150 livestock ownership booklets have been issued to the tagged livestock breeders distributed across the villages of the division.

She pointed out that the electronic tagging of livestock was carried out through the directorate's committees with the support of three committees from the agriculture directorates, indicating the continuation of the campaign which requires livestock breeders who have not yet registered on the tagging platform to do so, as the service portal for registration was opened starting from last Thursday.

Al-Khazaaleh clarified that the Ministry of Agriculture will perform deductions on the holdings of all breeders who have not registered on the platform in the statements of next February. Therefore, it is mandatory for farmers who have been tagged and those who have the ownership booklets issued to review the animal production section in the directorate; likewise, farmers who have not been tagged must ensure their phone numbers are active and checked.
