Khaberni - The Ministry of Public Works and Housing announced the commencement of the tender works for the expansion, maintenance, rehabilitation, and lighting of the Royal Road in the Madaba governorate, in the area extending from the Apostles Church signal to the intersection of Arab Homeland Street with the Royal Road in the Lab and Harithin area, in addition to scattered parts on the Royal Road, as part of the ministry's continuous efforts to improve infrastructure and enhance the efficiency of vital roads in the kingdom.
The Ministry stated in a statement on Tuesday that the project implementation requires partial or complete closures in some vital sections, especially in the area between Al-Bajali roundabout and the intersection of Arab Homeland Street with the Royal Road at the triangle of Al-Ikhaa schools, where a comprehensive traffic plan has been adopted to ensure the continuity of traffic flow and direct vehicles towards alternative routes equipped with all necessary warning and guidance signs.
Regarding the traffic coming from King Abdullah II Street towards Al-Bajali roundabout, two options have been identified for the route, the first starts from the Apostles signal left towards Sheikh Prince Al-Zabin roundabout then towards the ring road and reaching the signal of the American University, while the second option directs the traffic from Al-Bajali roundabout right towards Al-Asayel Street then Mohammed bin Faisal Street towards Ibn Kathir Street and reaching Arab Homeland Street and from there to the intersection of Al-Ikhaa schools.
As for the traffic coming from the Dhiban area towards the Apostles signal, the traffic plan has provided two alternative routes, where the traffic is directed in the first route from the American University signal towards the ring road and reaching Al-Qadi Al-Asha'iri Sheikh Prince Al-Zabin roundabout then turning left towards the Apostles signal, while the second route takes the Al-Ikhaa schools intersection towards Arab Homeland Street passing by Ibn Kathir Street until reaching the commercial center area.
