The King Jordan is fine and will remain fine

Khaberni - His Majesty King Abdullah II held a meeting on Wednesday with a number of former prime ministers and officials, focusing on the major regional developments and the actions taken by state agencies to deal with the consequences of the war.

During the meeting held at the Husseiniya Palace in the presence of His Royal Highness Prince Hussein bin Abdullah II, the Crown Prince, His Majesty affirmed that Jordan is fine and will remain fine, pointing out the continued protection by the Jordanian Armed Forces – the Arab Army of the kingdom from any threat.

His Majesty the King added: "I am fully confident in our security agencies, and the interest of Jordan and the Jordanians is our primary and ultimate goal."

His Majesty pointed out the importance of maintaining cooperation and coordination between state agencies to ensure readiness to deal with the developments and their economic consequences, ensuring the sustainability of a safe and strategic stockpile of essential goods.

His Majesty the King also affirmed that Jordan's position against the war has been clear from the beginning, and that the kingdom has exerted all possible efforts to de-escalate and prevent this war.

His Majesty renewed his condemnation of the unjustified Iranian aggressions against Jordan and the Gulf states, emphasizing that the security of the Gulf states is fundamental for the security and stability of the region and the world.

His Majesty the King welcomed the announcement of reaching a ceasefire between the United States and Iran as a positive step to stop the escalation in the region, affirming Jordan's support for the efforts made by Pakistan to reach a lasting agreement addressing all the issues that led to the undermining of security and stability in the region.

His Majesty emphasized the need to open the Strait of Hormuz, and to ensure the freedom of international navigation in accordance with international law.

His Majesty the King alerted that Israel had once again exploited the regional conditions to expand the conflict, stressing that Jordan continues to remind the international community of the need to focus on the West Bank, Jerusalem, and Gaza.

His Majesty warned of the dangers of developments in the West Bank and Jerusalem, emphasizing the importance of launching an international effort to stop the Israeli plans to annex parts of the West Bank or to change the existing historical and legal status in Jerusalem and the holy sites.

His Majesty the King also stressed the necessity of stopping the Israeli aggression on Lebanon, and supporting the efforts of the Lebanese government to maintain Lebanon's security, stability, and sovereignty.

The meeting included former prime ministers Abdul Karim al-Kabariti, Abdul Raouf al-Rawabdeh, Faisal al-Fayez, Adnan Badran, Nader al-Dahabi, Samir al-Rifai, Abdullah al-Nsour, Hani al-Mulki, Omar Razzaz, and Bisher al-Khasawneh.

The meeting also included Abdul Ilah al-Khatib, Nasser Judeh, Mahmoud Freihat, Hussein al-Hawatmeh; attended by the Chief of the Royal Hashemite Court Yousef Hassan al-Issawi, the Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates Ayman Al-Safadi, and the Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff Major General Yousef Ahmed Hunaiti, and the Director of General Intelligence Major General Ahmed Husni, and the Director of His Majesty’s Office Alaa Batayneh.
