The King emphasizes the need to stop the Israeli aggression on Lebanon

Khaberni - King Abdullah II emphasized the necessity of stopping the Israeli aggression on Lebanon, and supporting the Lebanese government's efforts to maintain Lebanon's security, stability, and sovereignty.

The king held a meeting with several prime ministers and former officials, focusing on the most prominent regional developments and the measures taken by state agencies to cope with the consequences of the war.

During the meeting held at the Al Husseiniya Palace, in the presence of Prince Hussein bin Abdullah II, Crown Prince, he welcomed the announcement of reaching a ceasefire agreement between the United States and Iran as a positive step towards de-escalating the situation in the region, affirming Jordan's support for the efforts made by Pakistan to reach a permanent agreement that addresses all the issues that have led to undermining security and stability in the region.

The king emphasized the necessity of opening the Strait of Hormuz, and ensuring international navigation freedom according to international law.

The king noted that Israel exploited the regional circumstances again to expand the conflict, stressing that Jordan continues to remind the international community of the need to focus on the West Bank, Jerusalem, and Gaza.

He warned of the dangers of developments in the West Bank and Jerusalem, emphasizing the importance of launching an international effort to stop Israel's plans to annex parts of the West Bank or to alter the historical and legal status in Jerusalem and the holy sites.

King Abdullah II also emphasized the necessity of stopping the Israeli aggression on Lebanon, and supporting the Lebanese government's efforts to maintain Lebanon's security, stability, and sovereignty.
