Khaberni - Jordan condemned on Wednesday the Israeli aggression against the brotherly Lebanese Republic and the targeting of civilians; a blatant violation of international law and humanitarian international law, and a violation of Lebanon's sovereignty, and a serious escalation that pushes towards more tension in the region.
The Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates Affairs emphasized the need to immediately stop the Israeli aggression on Lebanon, adhere to the ceasefire agreement concluded on November 27, 2024, and fully comply with the implementation of UN Security Council Resolution 1701, in all its clauses, ensuring the empowerment of Lebanese state institutions to perform their duties.
The Ministry emphasized Jordan's absolute support for Lebanon and its security, stability, sovereignty, and the safety of its citizens, and supported the efforts of the Lebanese government in asserting its control over all Lebanese territory and reactivating its national institutions and confining arms to the state.
The Ministry called on the international community to take responsibility, and to adopt a firm stance that obliges Israel to stop its violations and respect international law and humanitarian international law, and to stop all its aggressions against Lebanon.
