Khaberni - Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates Ayman Safadi conducted telephone communications with the Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs of the State of Qatar Sheikh Mohammed bin Abdulrahman Al Thani, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs of the United Arab Emirates Sheikh Abdullah bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia Prince Faisal bin Farhan Al Saud, Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Kingdom of Bahrain Abdul Latif bin Rashid Al Zayani, Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation and Egyptians Abroad Dr. Badr Abdelatty, and Minister of Foreign Affairs of the State of Kuwait Sheikh Jarrah Jaber Ahmad Al Sabah, and discussed with them the targeted efforts to end the dangerous escalation occurring in the region.
Safadi confirmed during his calls last night Tuesday and today Wednesday, the Kingdom's welcome of the ceasefire agreement between the United States and Iran, and the need for negotiations to yield a comprehensive and lasting calming based on principles that ensure respect for international law, sovereignty of states, freedom of navigation, address all causes of tension over the past decades, and enhance security and stability in the region.
