Khaberni - Al al-Bayt University has decided to stop admissions for the academic year 2026-2027 in a number of stagnant and saturated bachelor's degree programs. Meanwhile, other universities organized various activities and events to enhance their educational journey and strengthen the local and international partnerships, achieving sustainability.
In Al al-Bayt University, the president of the university, Dr. Osama Nasir, announced the cessation of admissions in a number of stagnant and saturated bachelor's degree programs.
Nasir stated in a declaration that the university's council of deans had identified the specializations in which admissions will be discontinued, which include Political Science, Sports, Physics, Chemistry, in addition to Fiqh and its Principles, Arabic Language and Literature, Geographic Information Systems and Remote Sensing, and Childhood Education.
He pointed out that admissions will also be terminated in postgraduate programs that include Applied Geology, Islamic Education Curricula and Teaching Methods, Economics and International Cooperation, Finance and Business Economics, Curricula and Teaching/Social Studies, in addition to Principles of Religion, Chemistry, Architectural Engineering, Physics, Geographic Information Sciences, next to Life Sciences, Curricula Teaching/Science, Curricula and Teaching/Mathematics, Curricula and Teaching/English, and Sharia Judiciary, noting that these decisions are intended to enhance the efficiency of resource allocation and improve the quality of educational outputs.
Nasir indicated that the university had adopted a number of quality academic decisions to align with the royal visions and the vision of economic modernization which includes the development and reorganization of a number of academic programs, in addition to a package of developmental decisions for academic programs, coordinated with the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research and the Higher Education Accreditation and Quality Assurance Commission following the financial measures approved by the Cabinet to enhance the sustainability of public universities, as Al al-Bayt University continued to align its academic pathways to connect educational outputs with market needs.
