Khaberni - Specialized inspection and control teams at the General Food and Drug Administration conducted 331 field tours across its branches in various regions of the kingdom on food facilities, including shopping malls "malls", wholesale and retail food sale facilities, and supermarkets, on Wednesday, the eleventh of February.
The institution stated in a press release that based on these tours, warnings were issued to 167 facilities, 7 were suspended from operation, and one facility, a cake workshop and its supplies, was closed, in addition to suspending a school canteen from operation due to violation of health requirements.
The organization added that the most prominent violations detected included the presence of expired food products, low compliance with health and cleanliness standards, and some facilities not having the necessary licenses, noting that necessary actions were taken against the violators.
