Desecration of an Islamic Cemetery in Sydney with Pig Heads Photos

Khaberni - An Islamic cemetery in Australia was vandalized, where severed pig heads were placed at its entrance, at a time when the country's leaders called for calm following the armed attack that occurred on Sunday.

Photos circulating on social media showed the desecration of an Islamic cemetery in the Narellan suburb southwest of Sydney, where slaughtered pig heads and parts of their bodies were found at the entrance of the cemetery, following the Bondi massacre.

In an official statement, the police said that around six o'clock in the morning on Monday, they received reports of animal remains at the entrance of a cemetery located on Richardson Road in Narellan. They added that their officers went to the location and found several pig heads, and immediately began an investigation into the incident. They later confirmed that these heads were removed and disposed of in the appropriate manner, noting that investigations are still ongoing.

It is alleged that Navid Akram, aged 24, and Sajid Akram, aged 50, opened fire at a Jewish event on the occasion of Hanukkah on Sunday. The death toll rose to 16 people, including a 10-year-old girl and a 40-year-old man who died in the hospital from their wounds.

In a speech he delivered to the state's residents on Sunday evening, New South Wales Police Commissioner Mal Lanyon urged citizens to remain calm, avoid any acts of retaliation, and stay clear of rumors circulating on social media, as the investigation is still in its early stages.

He stressed that this is a time for calm, emphasizing that the police are handling the case seriously and swiftly, and have taken decisive actions, calling on the community to allow security agencies to do their work, with a promise to continue informing the public about the latest developments in the investigation.
