Khaberni - The Israeli military spokesperson announced the killing of Sergeant First Class (Reserve) Lidor Borat, 31, from the city of Ashdod, in a bomb explosion in southern Lebanon.
The Israeli military reported that Borat, who belonged to Battalion 7106 of Regional Brigade 769, was killed when an engineering vehicle belonging to the Israeli military hit a bomb planted by Hezbollah in the area.
The Israeli military explained that the explosion resulted in injuries to several soldiers near the site of the incident, including one soldier with serious injuries, four with moderate injuries, and four others with minor injuries.
The Israeli military announced on Saturday evening, the death of one of its reserve major officers and the injury of three others with moderate injuries during a battle in southern Lebanon, despite the ceasefire being in effect.
The Israeli military, in a statement, said: "In the incident that occurred last Friday in southern Lebanon, the reserve Major Barak Kalafon was killed, and two fighters were wounded with moderate injuries, and another fighter with minor injuries."
The Israeli military announced that it had established what is known as the "Yellow Line" as a boundary in southern Lebanon, similar to the line it imposed in the Gaza Strip, to be used as a line of deployment and intensive military activity in this region. The "Yellow Line" refers to the deployment line the Israeli forces follow, allowing the army to move within it and carry out monitoring and striking operations against any perceived threats from Hezbollah or others.
The "Yellow Line" in southern Lebanon includes 55 towns and villages that are occupied or controlled by the Israeli forces, and is also used as a closed military area, where the return of residents to their homes is prohibited under the pretext of destroying the infrastructure of Hezbollah and imposing "control by fire."
Israeli officials noted that military operations and attacks in southern Lebanon will continue within this area, even under ceasefire agreements, while the army is prohibited from conducting large-scale operations in areas outside this line, such as Beirut and Bekaa.
