The Israeli Army Reveals Events 24 Hours Before Ceasefire in Lebanon

Khaberni - The Israeli Army revealed the events of the 24 hours that preceded the ceasefire in Lebanon, indicating that it will continue operations "to cleanse the area" under its control in southern Lebanon.
The Israeli army stated in a statement that it had "eliminated over 150 Hezbollah elements, bringing the number of Hezbollah fatalities in Operation Lion’s Roar to more than 1,800 elements and leaders."

‏It added that "in the 24 hours preceding the commencement of the ceasefire, the Defense Army launched raids targeting hundreds of terrorist elements and the infrastructure used by Hezbollah to execute hostile plans against the State of Israel and its defense forces."

The statement continued that "as part of these raids, more than 150 Hezbollah elements were eliminated, approximately 300 military infrastructures were targeted, including launch pads, command headquarters and weapons depots in several areas inside Lebanon. Among those eliminated was the commander of the Bent Jbeil sector in Hezbollah, known as Ali Reza Abbas, along with other leaders in Hezbollah. The Bent Jbeil area is one of the most important front-line areas in Hezbollah where Abbas led this sector during the fighting against the defense forces. Abbas also pushed forward and implemented many plans against the defense forces and the State of Israel over the years, and contributed to the reconstruction of the Bent Jbeil sector in the war. Abbas is the fourth commander of the Bent Jbeil sector in Hezbollah to be eliminated by the defense forces since the start of Operation Northern Arrows."

‏The Israeli Army concluded its statement reaffirming that it "will continue to work on cleansing the areas under its control to remove any threat to the citizens of the State of Israel and its forces."
