Petra University wins third place in the university debates championship and qualifies for the finals

Khaberni - Petra University’s team won third place in the national university debates championship, with the participation of thirty public and private universities, and has qualified for the final stage scheduled in Aqaba at the end of this month, with sixteen teams competing.
The Dean of Student Affairs, Professor Dr. Iyad Mullah, congratulated the debate team, expressing the university's pride and appreciation for the students' achievements, and said: "The university continues to support student talents to enable them to compete excellently in various national forums, and to provide an environment that stimulates creativity".
The university team won four out of five rounds it competed in during the championship, where the students performed with high confidence and notable presence, showcasing broad culture and mastery of Modern Standard Arabic in presenting logical arguments and evidence.
The university team consisted of Reina Saad Al-Din, Diala Naji, Hadi Manzlawi, and Amina Haj Ali, under the supervision of coach Baraa Abu Al-Rub. The students represent specialties in broadcasting and television, law, and nutrition, in the faculties of media, law, and pharmacy at the university.
The Dean of Student Affairs, through the Office of Empowering Emerging Leaders, sponsors extracurricular activities aimed at enhancing critical thinking skills and constructive dialogue, and the dean’s office provides the necessary capabilities for developing students' abilities, ensuring their active participation in various competitions and events.
