Grant to support the management unit of the national carrier at the Ministry of Water

Khaberni - The Ministry of Water and Irrigation signed a grant agreement provided by the Water Conservation Project funded by the American Embassy in Amman, aimed at supporting the institutional character of the management unit of the national carrier project in the ministry, thereby enhancing the readiness of the unit and supporting its administrative, operational, and coordination tasks in the upcoming phase.

According to the ministry's statement, on Sunday, the grant will provide the transfer of expertise and knowledge to the staff of the national carrier project through experts working on the project, contributing to the enhancement of the partnership between the public and private sectors, and supporting the achievement of the project’s goals aimed at enhancing water security.

The ministry indicated that the grant is valued at about 297,000 dinars, and its implementation period extends to April 30, 2027, which will include providing goods, services, and supporting human resources, contributing to the development of operational procedures, enhancing coordination and monitoring efforts, and improving the efficiency of the unit in executing its responsibilities associated with the national carrier project.

The grant comes within the framework of cooperation between the Ministry of Water and the Water Conservation Project, in line with the ministry's efforts aimed at supporting the readiness of the "national carrier," as one of the strategic projects aimed at enhancing water security in the kingdom.

It is expected that this support will enable the management unit of the "national carrier" to perform its tasks more efficiently and effectively, especially in the areas of institutional coordination, operational monitoring, and supporting the administrative and technical procedures necessary for the success of readiness activities associated with the project.
