Khaberni - The Ministry of Water and Irrigation/Water Authority's Internal Audit Unit, Water Basin Directorate, and the Workshop Directorate, in coordination with the Ministry of Interior, General Security Directorate, and the Royal Management for Environmental Protection and Tourism, took part in a new campaign in the Wadi Al-Seer and Abu Nseir areas, aimed at stopping infringements on water lines and the filling of tanks with non-potable water from contaminated sources, and the violation of the waters of Wadi Al-Seer spring, the main source of water supply for the Wadi Al-Seer area, the filling of non-compliant tanks, removal of all pumps and hoses from the site, and their confiscation.
In details, an infringement was detected on a main water line serving the Baidar area inside one of the large culverts used for filling non-compliant water tanks, and an infringement was detected on the Abu Nseir spring inside a building garage through a 1.5-inch diameter line, as well as the detection of tanks filling with non-compliant water from Chair spring / Wadi Al-Seer, where the infringements were removed, the situation rectified, and preparations made for handing over the collected evidence for legal proceedings.
