Khaberni - Prime Minister Dr. Jaafar Hassan received today, Tuesday, the Syrian Transport Minister Dr. Yarub Badr, and the Turkish Minister Abdul Qadir Oraloglu, in the presence of the Minister of Transport Dr. Nidal Qatamin.
The meeting reaffirmed the importance of the trilateral meeting held by the transport ministers of the three countries today in Amman, as a step towards enhancing regional cooperation in the sectors of land and maritime transport, trade, logistics services, and railway connectivity.
It was also confirmed the importance of activating cooperation agreements between the three countries, and establishing clear mechanisms for implementing joint projects, and exchanging expertise in various transport sectors; in a way that serves their mutual economic interests.
The joint ministerial committee for transport cooperation between Jordan, Syria, and Turkey had held a meeting in the capital Amman, today, Tuesday, with the participation of representatives from the public and private sectors and experts in transport and logistics fields, where a trilateral memorandum of understanding was signed aimed at enhancing cooperation and integration in the transport sector among the three nations.
