Khaberni - Sheikh Alaa Jaber responded to the wave of criticism that targeted him on social media following the sudden closure of an English language teaching center that had previously posted a promotional advertisement.
In a video broadcast on his Instagram account, Jaber began his talk with a recitation of a noble verse, saying: "Indeed, those who would like indecency to spread among those who believe will have a painful punishment in this world and in the hereafter, and Allah knows, and you do not know," as an indication of his rejection of what he described as campaigns of abuse and defamation.
Jaber clarified that the center in question had been operational for between 4 to 5 years and employed about 180 staff members, asserting that indicators of success and continuity were apparent before its closure.
He added: "If the owner of the center has committed fraud, may Allah not forgive him, and if he has faced a loss, may Allah compensate him and mend his affairs," emphasizing that he was not the only person who promoted the center.
He concluded his talk with advice for the critics, saying: "My advice to everyone who speaks ill: hold your tongue," encouraging verification before passing judgments or circulating accusations.
