Khaberni - The director of the Madaba Governorate Works Directorate, Abdulnasser Al-Kalbani, stated that a tender for reconstructing the Royal Road from the Church of the Apostles to the American University signal at a cost of 720 thousand dinars over 2100 meters has been referred.
Al-Kalbani added on Tuesday that the tender, which is funded by allocations from the Madaba Governorate Council, includes road expansion, lighting, construction of retaining walls, box culverts, stormwater manholes, and median islands.
He explained that the Delilah Street toward the American University has been expanded at a value of 92 thousand dinars over 850 meters so that the width of the paved asphalt mix becomes 6 meters, and work is ongoing on implementing the final layers. Completion is expected within the next two weeks, while work on opening agricultural roads started at a value of 110 thousand dinars and will be fully completed in the coming June with funding from the allocations of the Madaba Governorate Council.
He clarified that the Madaba Governorate Council funded a tender for the supply of construction materials for Madaba Works road valued at 33 thousand dinars funded by the council's allocations.
He also mentioned that a tender for rehabilitating the road from the Western Security Center to the Pilot Roundabout west of Madaba over 863 meters in both directions including scraping the old mixture and laying a new one and painting the road has been issued at a cost of 95 thousand dinars.
