Rain showers are expected during the afternoon hours in the north and central parts of the kingdom, which may be heavy and accompanied by thunder at times, later extending to parts of the eastern and southwestern regions. Winds will be moderate northwesterly, picking up in the afternoon and causing dust storms in desert areas, with the chances of rain tapering off in the evening.
The Meteorological Department warns in its report of reduced horizontal visibility in the early morning hours due to fog in the high northern and central mountainous areas and parts of the plains, and occasionally due to dust in the desert areas, and of the risk of slipping on roads in areas experiencing rainfall.
Maximum and minimum temperatures in East Amman will range between 16-7 degrees Celsius, in West Amman 14-5, in the northern highlands 13-4, in the Sharah highlands 12-5, in the desert areas 19-6, in the plains 17-8, in the northern Jordan Valley 25-11, in the southern Jordan Valley 29-17, at the Dead Sea 28-15, and in the Gulf of Aqaba 29-16 degrees Celsius.
On Wednesday, the weather will remain relatively cold in most areas and partly cloudy. Afternoon showers are expected in various parts of the kingdom, which may be accompanied by thunder at times, especially in the western parts, with moderate northwesterly winds that are active at times and cause dust storms in desert areas.
Temperatures will rise slightly on Thursday, with relatively cold weather prevailing in most areas, and warm in the Jordan Valley, the Dead Sea, and Aqaba, with some low clouds appearing in the north of the kingdom, and moderate westerly winds that occasionally pick up.
On Friday, a further increase in temperatures is expected, with mild weather in most areas, and warm in the Jordan Valley, the Dead Sea, and Aqaba. There will be high clouds, with moderate westerly winds that occasionally strengthen.
