Crime in Sweileh the victim was subjected to nail removal punches and fractures before her death

Khaberni - The public prosecutor of the Grand Criminal Court detained a couple for 15 days, renewable, on Monday, on the background of the murder of a woman in her twenties (of Arab nationality) in Sweileh last Friday who was subjected to abuse and torture by her husband with the cooperation of his first wife.

The public prosecutor directed a list of charges to the accused including:

For the husband: the charge of premeditated murder pursuant to section (328/1) of the penal code, and the charge of showing force and thuggery pursuant to section (415 repeated/4).

For the first wife: the charge of complicity in premeditated murder, and showing force and thuggery.

Sources reported that the husband transported the victim to the hospital via civil defense crews, but she arrived deceased. The signs of violence on the victim's face led to the suspicion of the public prosecutor who ordered an autopsy and opened an investigation.

The accused claimed that she asked her husband to marry the victim 6 months ago fearing her own death as she was sick, and to ensure her husband's care after her departure, claiming that the victim was Khaberni subjected to beating throughout the marriage.

The accused acknowledged the ongoing disputes with the victim and that he used to beat her following those disputes.

The forensic report revealed that the victim had suffered old and new injuries throughout her body, particularly in the upper and lower limbs, with rib fractures, severe fist punch marks on the face, burn marks on a toe, and proven nail removal.

The report concluded that the death resulted from a cerebral hemorrhagic bleed due to the victim's head being violently hit against "the wall".
