Killing of Iranian nuclear scientist with his wife and leaders in the Revolutionary Guard

Khaberni - Iranian television announced today, Saturday, the killing of the Iranian nuclear scientist Mohammad Reza Kia along with his wife in a raid that targeted him in the village of Dastak, in the Kiashahr area, northern Iran, along with a number of leaders of the Revolutionary Guard.

Mohammad Reza Kia is an Iranian nuclear scientist who specializes in the fields of nuclear physics and atomic engineering within the Islamic Republic of Iran.

He is also associated with a number of governmental research institutions and has participated in developing core technologies used in Iranian nuclear research centers.

In this context, Iranian television reported the killing of Abbas Karami, a leader of the Revolutionary Guard in Tehran, and Saeed Zankanah, a leader of the Basij in Ahvaz.

This comes after the Israeli military announced the killing of the head of naval intelligence of the Revolutionary Guard, Behnam Rezaei, as well as the commander of the Iranian Revolutionary Guard's naval forces, Ali Reza Tangsiri, in an attack on the city of Bandar Abbas in southern Iran.

Assassination of Key Political Leaders
It is noted that Israel assassinated, on the first day of the outbreak of war (28 February last), dozens of prominent political and military leaders, especially in the Revolutionary Guard. The joint Israeli-American raids on 28 February also led to the elimination of Supreme Leader Ali Khamenei, as well as Revolutionary Guard leader Mohammad Bakpour, and Abdolrahim Mousavi, the chief of staff of the armed forces.

Israel also assassinated Basij forces commander Gholam Reza Soleimani, Iranian Defense Minister Aziz Nasirzadeh, and his successor, in addition to dozens of military leaders and officers.

Israel also vowed to assassinate the new Supreme Leader Mojtaba Khamenei, the Speaker of the Iranian Parliament, as well as Major General Amir Hatami, the Commander-in-Chief of the Army, and Major General Ahmad Vahidi, who was appointed commander of the Revolutionary Guard following Bakpour's death, and Major General Ali Abdullahi, commander of the Khatam al-Anbiya headquarters.
