Khaberni - The Iranian Revolutionary Guard threatened on Sunday to target American universities in the Middle East after reporting that American and Israeli strikes had destroyed two universities in Iran.
The Revolutionary Guard stated in a release published by Iranian media, "If the American government does not want these universities in the region to face retaliatory responses, it must condemn the bombing of the universities in an official statement before Monday, March 30, at noon."
The Revolutionary Guard advised "staff, professors, and students of American universities in the region to stay at least one kilometer away" from the universities that might be targeted.
There are branches of many American universities in Gulf countries such as Texas A&M in Qatar and New York University in the United Arab Emirates.
On the night from Friday to Saturday, explosions were heard in Tehran reaching the Northeast Science and Technology University in the city, causing damages to the buildings without any casualties, according to media reports.
