The Israeli Army Confronts a New Missile Launched from Yemen

Khaberni - The Israeli military announced on Sunday that it is confronting a missile launched from Yemen, following a day after the Iran-backed Houthis entered the war.

The Israeli military stated in a statement that it "detected a missile launch from Yemen towards Israeli territory, and air defense systems are working to intercept this threat".

On Saturday, the Houthis announced conducting the first military operation using a batch of ballistic missiles targeting sensitive military sites of the Israeli army in occupied southern Palestine.

The Houthis explained that the operation was in support of Iran, Lebanon, Iraq, and Palestine, and a response to the ongoing military escalation and targeting of infrastructure and the committing of crimes against civilians in these regions.

The Houthis noted that the operation coincided with attacks carried out by Iran and Hezbollah in Lebanon, and achieved its goals successfully, affirming that military operations will continue until the announced objectives are achieved and the aggression is stopped.

The Iran war broke out on February 28, following wide-ranging air strikes by the United States and Israel targeting vital facilities and military and command centers in Tehran and several other cities, resulting in the death of Iran's Supreme Leader Ali Khamenei on the first day, along with a number of senior officials and leaders, including the Secretary of the Supreme National Security Council, Ali Larijani, and prominent leaders in the Revolutionary Guard.

In response, Iran retaliated by launching hundreds of missiles and drones towards Israel and countries in the region, along with closing the Strait of Hormuz, which led to a rise in energy prices.

The war extended to Lebanon on March 2, after Hezbollah launched rockets at Israel following the assassination of Ali Khamenei, leading to widespread air strikes and a ground incursion by Israel in southern Lebanon.
