Khaberni - The voting process kicked off on Friday in the capital Amman for the election of the dean and the council of the Jordanian Artists' Union, within the general assembly meeting, after the legal quorum was completed with the presence of the directory director Mohammed Youssef Al-Abadi and council members.
Competing for the position of the dean for the term (2026–2028) are the artists Hani Al-Jarrah and Mohammad "Saif" Al-Dmour, while 27 candidates were approved for membership of the council distributed across five artistic professions.
The union had completed its administrative and financial procedures by collecting the subscriptions of 393 active members, at a time when the legal quorum for the meeting reached 197 members.
