Khaberni - Palestine Television – Digital Media Department – published a clarifying statement regarding a circulating offense targeting the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan.
The General Authority for Radio and Television of Palestine issued a statement confirming that from the first moment of raising the issue related to the offense against the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan, its leadership and its people, through a comment posted on a Facebook page by the employee Mariam Al-Tarifi, it began taking necessary actions. An investigation committee was formed, and the employee was suspended from work pending the completion of the investigation and taking the appropriate legal, administrative, and professional measures.
The Authority clarified that its editorial policy is based on respecting all Arab countries, not offending or diminishing their national symbols or interfering in their internal affairs, reaffirming that any offense issued by any individual represents only themselves and does not reflect the position or orientations of the Authority.
The Authority also emphasized its pride in the fraternal relations linking Palestine with the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan, appreciating the role played by the Kingdom under the leadership of His Majesty King Abdullah II, alongside the Jordanian government and people, especially the Jordanian media, in supporting the Palestinian cause, particularly amid the ongoing aggression on the Palestinian people.
The Authority reaffirmed its commitment to its national and professional responsibilities and its dedication to promoting a responsible media discourse that reflects values of respect and Arab solidarity.
