Khaberni - Five people were killed in Israeli strikes on southern Lebanon on Thursday, according to state media, while the Lebanese government announced it would file a complaint with the UN Security Council against Israel for attacks on infrastructure, which led to mass displacement.
The war between Israel and Hezbollah in Lebanon erupted on March 2 when the party attacked the Jewish state with rockets in response to the killing of Iran's Supreme Leader by Israeli-American strikes.
Israel responded with heavy airstrikes across Lebanon and a ground incursion in the south, resulting in 1,116 deaths including 121 children and 42 healthcare workers, according to an updated toll from the Ministry of Health.
The official National News Agency reported that five people were killed in Israeli strikes on southern Lebanon, one of which targeted a "residential and commercial building" in the town of Kafr Rumman in Nabatieh, "completely destroying it".
On its part, the Israeli occupation army announced the death of a soldier in clashes in southern Lebanon, bringing the total number of Israeli occupation army fatalities to three since the war began.
Hezbollah announced in a series of statements that it had launched more than 80 attacks on Israel since the early hours of Thursday morning.
It also announced that it targeted the Israeli Ministry of Defense headquarters and another military headquarters in Tel Aviv with "precision missiles," in addition to launching attacks on the cities of Acre and Haifa.
On her part, a spokeswoman for the Israeli occupation army reported targeting "more than 2,000 Hezbollah-linked sites" in addition to killing more than 700 of its fighters since the war began, although Hezbollah has not disclosed the number of its dead.
