Khaberni - HBO has launched the first official teaser trailer for its series adapted from the Harry Potter novel series, revealing for the first time the cast and visual style of the work.

The trailer provides a first look at Dominic McGloughlin as Harry Potter, alongside Arabella Stanton as Hermione Granger, and Alistair Stout as Ron Weasley.
The trailer, which lasts two minutes, features scenes from the Dursley home and the Hogwarts Express station, along with shots of characters Dumbledore, Snape, and the Malfoy family.
Observers have noted a shift in the visual style of the series, with darker colors compared to the original films, and the trailer focusing on human moments for Harry at his family home and his first meeting with Hagrid.
Cast and creators of the Harry Potter series
The work includes a roster of prominent actors, with John Lithgow playing Hogwarts Headmaster "Dumbledore", Janet McTeer as Professor "McGonagall", Papa Essiedu as "Snape", and Nick Frost as "Hagrid".
The production is led by Marc Milod and managed by Francesca Gardner, with a plan to produce one season for each of the seven books included in the series, in a massive project expected to last 10 years.
Security challenges and widespread controversy
The cast has faced increasing pressure after actor Papa Essiedu reported receiving death threats since being announced for the role, describing them as going as far as mentioning his home address.
Kasey Blueys, the network's CEO, confirmed that tight security measures and social media training for actors are being enforced, describing these tensions as expected due to the fervent opinions of fans towards the work.
Release dates for the Harry Potter series
The network confirmed that the first season, titled "Harry Potter and the Philosopher's Stone", will consist of 8 episodes and will be aired during the Christmas season of 2026, an earlier date than previously anticipated by fans.
