Khaberni - The Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates strongly condemned on Friday the terrorist plot aimed at the brotherly United Arab Emirates through infiltrating its economy and undermining its financial stability; considering it an unacceptable attempt to threaten the security and stability of the UAE.
The Ministry affirmed Jordan's rejection and condemnation of this attempt, its absolute solidarity with the brotherly United Arab Emirates, its standing with them, and its support for all measures and procedures taken to protect its sovereignty, security, and stability, and to maintain the safety of its citizens and residents, emphasizing the Kingdom's rejection of all forms of terrorism that seek to undermine security and stability in the region.
It is noted that the UAE State Security had announced the dismantling of a terrorist network funded and managed by Hezbollah of Lebanon and Iran, with elements arrested, operating within the country under a false commercial cover, aiming to infiltrate the national economy and execute external schemes threatening the country's financial stability.
The agency clarified that this network operated according to a pre-planned strategic plan with external parties linked to Hezbollah of Lebanon and Iran, violating economic and legal regulations for money laundering, financing terrorism, and threatening homeland security.
The State Security Service confirmed that any attempt to exploit the national economy or civil institutions for terrorist or conspiratorial purposes would be met with firmness and strength, and no external interference threatening the security or stability of the state would be permitted, regardless of its source or cover.
