Khaberni - A high Iraqi security source announced today, Friday, the commencement of the evacuation of the NATO North Atlantic Treaty Organization mission from its camp and withdrawal outside Iraq, noting that the mission is non-combat and its duty is advisory and will return immediately after the end of the war.
The source told the Iraqi News Agency that "the evacuation of the NATO North Atlantic Treaty Organization mission from its camp and withdrawal outside Iraq is a temporary operation due to the regional situations and the ongoing war, and due to fears for their lives".
He added that "the NATO elements present in Iraq are a non-combat mission, and their duty is training and advisory, and will return immediately after the end of the war and the stabilization of the security situation in Iraq".
An Iraqi security source also revealed today, Friday, to Al Mayadeen channel, about the escape of all Italians in the NATO forces, present in Iraq to Jordan, due to operations by armed militias in Iraq.
The source mentioned that the number of Italian soldiers is 100.
