The Iranian Revolutionary Guard Issues a Warning and Calls for Evacuation of Oil Facilities in the Gulf

Khaberni - The Iranian Revolutionary Guard issued a new warning on Wednesday, saying that "Iran's enemies" should "expect a strong operation" from the armed forces, following what it described as an attack on the fuel and energy infrastructure in Iran.

This warning came after Tehran accused the United States and Israel of attacking parts of Iran's oil and natural gas production facilities, including South Pars gas field, the largest in the world.

If these accusations are confirmed, this would be the first attack on Iran's oil and natural gas production facilities in this war. Last week, Israel had attacked a number of Iranian fuel depots.

An Israeli source told CNN earlier on Wednesday that Israel attacked the Assaluyeh facility in southwest Iran. Another Israeli official stated that the Israeli strike on the Iranian Pars facility was coordinated with the United States.

Meanwhile, a U.S. official denied that his country targeted the gas fields in Iran, affirming that Israel carried out the attack.

The Iranian Revolutionary Guard announced in a statement that a "criminal enemy" had "violated a part of the Iranian infrastructure for fuel and energy", and the Guard renewed its previous threats to respond if any Iranian energy or gas facility or any economic facility is targeted.

The statement added that Iran considers targeting the infrastructure of fuel, energy, and gas in the "exporting country" to be "legitimate", and that it will "respond at the first opportunity."

The Revolutionary Guard also called for the evacuation of residents and workers at some oil facilities in Saudi Arabia, Qatar, and the United Arab Emirates.

Following this warning, the Saudi Civil Defense declared the end of the alert status after the air defense systems dealt with a missile threat in the capital, Riyadh, according to what was reported by the official Al Ekhbariya news channel.
