The Director of US Intelligence Confirms the Decline of Irans Power

Khaberni - Tulsi Gabbard, the Director of National Intelligence of the United States, confirmed on Wednesday the declining capabilities of Iran, warning against the survival of the "hostile" regime.

Gabbard stated that the power of the Iranian government has declined since the war began on February 28th.

In her opening speech at the Senate Intelligence Committee’s annual session on global threats to the United States, she added, "The regime in Iran still seems cohesive, but it has been severely damaged by the operation known as 'Epic Wrath'."

She continued, "However, Iran and its proxies are still able to attack the interests of the United States and its allies in the Middle East, and they continue to do so. If a hostile regime survives, it will seek to begin efforts that will last years to rebuild its forces of missiles and drones."

Democrats, in particular, complained that the administration has not kept Congress sufficiently informed about a conflict that has cost American taxpayers billions of dollars, and they have called for public hearings instead of the secret briefings held over the past two weeks.

In his opening statement, Republican Senator Tom Cotton from Arkansas praised Trump, saying his actions in Iran and other places have made the world safer.

Meanwhile, Democratic Senator Mark Warner from Virginia criticized the administration for not holding briefing sessions for Congress on the war and other issues.

The House Intelligence Committee is scheduled to hold a session on global threats tomorrow, Thursday.
