Khaberni - The journalist at "Al-Manar" channel, Mohammad Shree, and his wife were killed in the Israeli raid that targeted a residential apartment in the Zqaq al-Blat area this Wednesday morning.
Al-Manar channel, affiliated with Hezbollah, in an official statement, mourned its Director of Political Programs, describing him and his wife as "martyrs in the Zionist raid on Zqaq al-Blat area."
The condolence statement said: "With pride and dignity, and belief in the path of duty and justice that we adopt, no matter how great the sacrifices, Al-Manar channel mourns the Director of Political Programs, our colleague Al-Haj Mohammad Shree and his wife." The statement added, "The Israeli treacherous hand reached civilians secure in their homes and residential apartments."
The channel mentioned that Shree concluded "decades of his professional career as a missionary journalist, a resistant patriot, a revolutionary, a purposeful human, believing in the power of words to defend justice regardless of the costs. Shree was known among his viewers as a presenter of political programs and a cultured conversationalist, serving as the Director of Political Programs on the channel for ten years, and a member of the board of directors."
The statement highlighted that Shree "was not hindered by illness in his last days from his intellectual presence in the field of words," and during his recovery from a surgical operation, "the Zionist criminal hand struck him in the morning raids on Beirut, where he ascended as a martyr, with his patient wife, while their children and grandchildren, including women and children were injured and taken to hospitals."
