Khaberni - Iran announced on Tuesday the death of 4 of its diplomats in Lebanon due to an Israeli raid targeting a hotel in Beirut.
This was according to an official message sent by its permanent representative to the United Nations, Amir Sayed Iravani, to the UN Secretary-General, the President of the Security Council, and the President of the General Assembly.
Iravani stated in his message that the attack occurred in the early hours of Sunday, March 8, 2026, when an Israeli raid targeted the “Ramada” hotel in Beirut, resulting in the death of 4 Iranian diplomats present at the location.
The Iranian ambassador described the attack as a “deliberate act of terrorism,” holding Israel responsible for targeting the Iranian diplomats in Lebanon.
These developments come amid escalating confrontations in the region, with an expansion of Israeli strikes targeting locations associated with Iran and its allies in Lebanon.
