Iranian Ramin Barsa I am a Zionist and I love Israel

Khaberni - Ramin Barsa, an Iranian living in Israel, said during an interview with "Channel 13" in Hebrew that he fought for Israel and sought asylum, although Tel Aviv refused to grant it.
Ramin Barsa recounted recent events in Iran and what his family experienced, saying, "When the internet was cut off from our home, I heard that my brother was shot... then he disappeared... they didn't know where he was... so I was very worried about what was happening to him?.. Did they find him?.. Is he alright?..".

He added: "Weeks after the internet was cut off, I finally learned that he had been shot and arrested..".

He continued saying: "My other brother was shot... as well as my nephew and my sister, and my sister's husband... Imagine that my nephew was only 13 years old, and he was shot... Just 13 years!.. He was shot in the leg in the street".

He went on to say: "It's very hard, especially for my family because I live here in Israel... I am a Zionist and I love Israel... and I have expressed that openly... I am married to an Israeli woman... so my case and my family’s case is very sensitive."

He stated that although he is insulted and threatened in Iran, in Israel they allow him to have a legal status only... The main objection was that I was born in Iran, a hostile country, and naturally, no one born in a hostile country is entitled to obtain Israeli citizenship.

In response to a question whether there is a chance he may have to leave Israel, the Iranian Ramin Barsa said: "No no I don't think so... I believe in the democracy in Israel... Democracy is good... I believe in democracy."
