Khaberni - A senior official in the US administration said on Wednesday that President Donald Trump would welcome an end to the conflict between Israel and Hezbollah, the Iran-backed group in Lebanon, but he noted that a similar agreement is not part of the peace negotiations with Iran.
The official, who wished to remain anonymous, stated that "the President would welcome an end to hostilities in Lebanon as part of a peace agreement between Israel and Lebanon".
However, he clarified "that we have not requested such a thing, nor is it part of the peace negotiations with Iran".
