The Iftaa Department Issuing About 2000 Fatwas Daily During Ramadan

Khaberni - The Grand Mufti of the Kingdom, Ahmad Al-Hassanat, stated that the General Iftaa Department issues between 1700 and 2000 fatwas daily during the holy month of Ramadan, confirming that this number reflects the large turnout for consultation in the holy month.

Al-Hassanat clarified on the kingdom channel that the daily average of fatwas on regular days is about 700, in various forms, whether through personal meetings, phone calls, text messages, or the website, noting that this number doubles in Ramadan reaching between 1700 and 2000 daily.

He indicated that the announced statistics do not include oral or telephonic fatwas received outside official working hours, meaning that the actual number of fatwas during the holy month may be higher than the announced figures.

He pointed out that the department receives questions through phone calls, personal meetings, text messages, and its website, noting that most inquiries focus on the rulings of fasting, zakat, prayer, personal status, and business transactions.
