The White House It would be wise for Iran to reach an agreement

Khaberni - The White House confirmed on Wednesday that it would be "wise" for Iran to make a deal with the United States, following days of escalated rhetoric by American President Donald Trump against the Islamic Republic.

White House spokeswoman Carolain Levitt told reporters, "It would be very wise for Iran to make a deal with President Trump and his administration".

On Wednesday, US Secretary of Energy Chris Wright emphasized that the US would prevent Iran from acquiring a nuclear weapon "one way or another," amidst talks between the two sides aiming to reach an agreement.

Wright said on the sidelines of meetings for the International Energy Agency that the Iranians "are clear about what they will do with nuclear weapons. This is absolutely unacceptable".

Iranian President Masoud Bazshakian confirmed his country's readiness to allow "verification" that it is not seeking to develop a nuclear weapon, in statements published Tuesday as Tehran held talks with Washington in Geneva.
