Khaberni - Axios reported a notable progress in the negotiations between Tehran and Washington, despite the ongoing challenges which hinder reaching a final agreement before the deadline.
According to what the agency conveyed, the White House considered the Iranian response, which was sent through intermediaries on Monday, to carry "relatively encouraging" indications, suggesting that there is a foundation to build upon in the ongoing discussions.
It was clarified that the latest Iranian proposal did not fully meet the American side's expectations; however, it was "much better than expected", reflecting a relative flexibility in the positions.
It also mentioned ongoing discussions about the possibility of achieving a ceasefire, amid increasing pressure exerted by intermediaries to push the parties towards a settlement.
The sources confirmed that the talks are serious, with anticipation for the Iranian response in the next phase, amid intense efforts to reach understandings that reduce tensions.
