Khaberni - The White House denied on Tuesday, with a firm tone, its intention to use nuclear weapons in Iran, in a message it posted on an associated account on the "X" platform.
The message stated: "Nothing that the Vice President said here implies that, you big clowns."
The White House's stance came in response to a post on X attributed to an account linked to former Vice President Kamala Harris, which posted a video statement by American Vice President Jay D. Vance during his visit to Budapest, accompanied by a statement "Jay D. Vance confirms Trump's stance after his last message stating (an entire civilization will die tonight) and suggests that Trump might use nuclear weapons".
U.S. President Donald Trump had threatened Iran on Tuesday, saying it would destroy "its entire civilization" just hours before the deadline of his ultimatum to Iran to agree to a peace deal, while his deputy Jay D. Vance warned of the potential use by the United States of "new tools" in warfare.
Trump wrote on his platform "Truth Social", "An entire civilization will die tonight, never to return. I don't want that, but it is likely to happen. Who knows?"
He described this moment as "one of the most important moments in the long and complex history of the world", emphasizing that "47 years of extortion, corruption, and death will finally end."
Trump did not provide further details, but he had previously stated that the U.S. military might bomb bridges and power stations and other civilian infrastructure in Iran to "completely destroy" them if no agreement is reached within the specified deadline.
He hinted on Monday that the discussed temporary ceasefire proposal was insufficient.
The deadline set by U.S. President Donald Trump will end at dawn, Jordan time, threatening in a social media post to target Iranian power stations and bridges on Tuesday if Tehran does not open the Strait of Hormuz.
Trump wrote in a post on Truth Social "Tuesday will be a day for power stations and bridges, all in one day in Iran. You've never seen anything like it!!!"
He added in the post "Open the damn strait you crazy bastards, or you will live in hell - you'll see!", referring to the Strait of Hormuz, the vital waterway that Iran has kept effectively closed since the United States and Israel began attacks on it over a month ago.
On the other hand, the Iranian Deputy Foreign Minister Kazem Ghareeb Abadi warned that Trump's threats to strike power plants and bridges in Iran could amount to "war crimes".
Pakistan has sent a plan to end the war to Iran and the United States, which might come into effect today and lead to the reopening of the Strait of Hormuz.
Since February 28, Israel and the United States have been carrying out airstrikes on Iran, which resulted in the death of Supreme Leader Ali Khamenei. Since then, Tehran has retaliated by striking Israel and countries in the region with missiles and drones.
