Khaberni – Deputy Dima Tahboob announced her total rejection of the proposed amendments to the social security law that were recently published by the government.
Tahboob confirmed that these amendments are still in draft form and have not yet been referred to the House of Representatives, nor have they been discussed in the relevant committee, emphasizing the necessity of being fair to citizens and ensuring their rights while maintaining the system's sustainability.
Deputy Tahboob stated that holding the citizens accountable for years of neglect or erosion of social security without any governmental remedy is unacceptable, advocating for exploring other solutions that do not affect the established rights of the participants.
Commenting on the government proposals, she said: "What has been stated is unacceptable and it proves the saying: They stripped our flesh and threw us the bones."
