Khaberni  - The General Food and Drug Administration staff, in cooperation with the Royal Environmental Protection Management, closed a dairy factory in the capital, Amman, in the Ten Bridges area after monitoring and tracking operations revealed, as part of a quality control campaign carried out since the early morning hours, the supply and transportation of quantities of powdered milk bags to the factory.

The institution clarified in a press statement that its staff secured all the products in the factory which included 10 tons of cheeses and dairy and 250 kilograms of powdered milk, in preparation for their destruction, as a result of detecting the use of powdered milk in their production, noting that the use of powdered milk in the production of dairy constitutes a violation of the technical rules and specifications that require these products to be made from fresh milk.

It added that the offenders have been referred to the competent judicial authorities to take legal action against them, confirming that specialized control and inspection teams carry out field rounds around the clock to ensure that production sites of such products comply with the health standards and conditions approved by the institution.

The institution urges citizens not to purchase dairy and cheese products unless from licensed establishments; It also called on citizens to contact it in case of any complaints or observations around the clock through the toll-free complaint line 117114, via email at [email protected], and through WhatsApp on the number 0795632000.
