Khaberni - The Ministry of Public Works and Housing has started the implementation of a project to expand and pave a part of the Irbid-Ajloun road, as part of its efforts to develop the main road networks and enhance traffic safety.
The construction work in the project, according to the ministry's statement on Saturday, includes widening some curves through cutting and filling engineering operations, and applying a "Topping" layer 20 cm thick, followed by a first coat layer also 20 cm thick and a second coat layer of a similar thickness, along with the execution of preparatory spraying (MC).
The work also includes scraping the existing asphalt mixture from the road, and repaving the road with two layers of asphalt mixture (binding and surface) with a total thickness of 12 cm, and completing the median island and road marking works.
The duration of the work on the project, funded by the budget of the Irbid Governorate Council with a value of about 200,000 dinars, is 120 days.
