Khaberni – Amman Greater Municipality Council member, engineer Qamar Al-Nabulsi, said she is thinking of holding a meeting for the residents of the Shmeisani area to discuss their water pollution file, which has continued for about two weeks without resolution.
In a post on Facebook, Al-Nabulsi added: «I am thinking of organizing a meeting that includes all the Shmeisani residents to discuss this issue, the damage caused, and the level of services provided by our water company, in addition to all the complaints, with lawyers present».
Al-Nabulsi invited interested lawyers who wish to help to participate in order to reach appropriate legal steps.
She explained that the purpose of the meeting is to dialogue, exchange viewpoints, clarify the legal situation, and discuss demands and available opportunities, after which the next steps will be decided based on the majority opinion.

to the honorable residents of Shmeisani and especially the areas affected by the change in water quality that was pumped (mixed with sewage) and this problem that lasted about two weeks or the Shmeisani residents who still suffer from water cuts despite paying the bills regularly. According to what we heard, there will be network sterilization, and the Ministry of Health will take samples to ensure the water is safe and free from any pollutants, and our water will hold an official press conference to explain the situation and the measures taken and to clarify all the details to the residents of Shmeisani. I did not hear about any press conference, and we did not see any news on news sites specifying any statement from a our water official or the Ministry of Water—if anyone heard any news or about a press conference please tell us since we seek honesty—and to be honest with ourselves and with people, I think about holding a meeting with all the residents of Shmeisani to discuss this issue and the damage and services provided by our water company and all complaints in the presence of lawyers, here I hope that every lawyer who wants to help us and has experience with such cases to be with us so that our word can be one. We discuss and exchange views and our legal situation and demands and opportunities, and then we decide based on the majority opinion our next step, the citizen has duties but also has rights, and respecting the citizen's health and dignity is maintained and this is always emphasized by His Majesty the King, so I hope everyone who reads the post writes in the comments that they are interested and will attend or deny it, so we can arrange the meeting and determine the day and time according to the number suitable time for everyone or for the majority, and may God help us to be part of fixing the situation and holding the negligent accountable and thanking those who do their duty honestly and conscientiously and care for the nation and the citizen.
