Khaberni - The Eastern Military Region thwarted early Monday, at its front and within its zone of responsibility, an attempt to smuggle a quantity of drugs loaded by balloons guided with advanced electronic devices.
According to a statement by the army, the operation was detected by border guard units and dealt with by shooting down the devices and their cargo within Jordanian territory in coordination with security agencies and the Anti-Narcotics Department, and the seized items were transferred to the relevant authorities for necessary actions.
