Khaberni - The Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff, Major General Yousef Ahmed Al-Hunaiti, visited the Special Communications Authority on Tuesday, and he was received by its General Director.
Major General Al-Hunaiti listened to a briefing given by the General Director of the Authority on the tasks and duties assigned to it, the level of development it has reached in the field of communications, and the projects and systems it implements, in addition to the future plans for updating and development to match current and future conditions.
The Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff confirmed the importance of developing the infrastructure of military communications and enhancing readiness, in the presence of a number of senior officers of the Armed Forces, which enhances the ability of the armed forces to perform their tasks with high efficiency, pointing to the necessity to continue training and qualifying the staff of the Authority on the latest systems, to ensure quick response and effectiveness in various conditions.
Major General Al-Hunaiti toured various departments and divisions of the Authority, observed the nature of the work carried out, and the electronic services it provides to many governmental and private entities. He also visited an exhibition of modern equipment and devices in the field of communications, characterized by advanced technologies that contribute to enhancing the efficiency of the communications system and supporting the execution of tasks with efficiency and professionalism.
At the end of the visit, the Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff praised the efforts of the workers in the Special Communications Authority, affirming the importance of developing capabilities and benefiting from international expertise to enhance communication protection means, and ensuring the readiness of the armed forces at all times.
It should be noted that since its establishment in 1975, the Special Communications Authority has been responsible for planning, designing, constructing, managing, and maintaining military communications networks, securing communication services for various formations and units of the armed forces, in addition to supporting a number of security devices and national institutions, contributing to enhancing the level of readiness and efficiency of the national communications system.
