Khaberni - The Turkish Presidency stated on Saturday that US President Donald Trump sent a message to his Turkish counterpart Recep Tayyip Erdogan, inviting him to join the "Peace Council", tasked with overseeing the temporary administration of the Gaza Strip where a fragile ceasefire has been declared since last October.
The White House revealed on Friday some members of the council that will be chaired by Trump.
The Turkish Foreign Minister Hakan Fidan was announced as a member of the "Executive Council for Gaza", alongside American Secretary of State Marco Rubio, Trump's special envoy Steve Witkoff, former British Prime Minister Tony Blair, and Trump's son-in-law Jared Kushner.
