AlHaysa AlWala Dam Managed on Tuesday 11 Million Cubic Meters of Water

Khaberni - The Secretary-General of the Jordan Valley Authority, Hisham Al-Haysa, said on Wednesday that the recent low pressure had a positive impact on the water storage capacity in the dams, enhancing their strategic reserve.

Al-Haysa added in statements to "The Kingdom" channel, that Al-Wala Dam managed on Tuesday to handle 11 million cubic meters of water, and reached its full storage capacity of 98.4%, while King Talal Dam handled 12 million cubic meters of water.

Al-Haysa explained that the low pressure enhances the strategic reserve of the dams, which contributes specifically to meeting the needs of the agricultural sector, in addition to supplying industrial companies.

Al-Haysa pointed out that the rainfall helps in improving soil, reducing irrigation periods, which eases the daily demand for water quantities.

Al-Haysa said that all water facilities are operating efficiently and effectively, indicating that 25 million cubic meters were stored in the dams, focused in King Talal and Al-Wala dams.

He added during an inspection tour that the technical and operational crews deal with the highest degrees of professionalism and responsibility in managing all facilities and dams, the technical procedures adopted by the specialized staff, and the monitoring, operation, and routine maintenance tasks, and safety measures taken, to ensure the efficiency of all dams and their ability to accommodate the incoming water quantities according to approved engineering standards.

Al-Haysa praised the efforts of the technical and engineering staff working at all sites, and their role in maintaining the safety of water facilities and their operational efficiency.
