Khaberni - In the context of Arab Amman University's efforts to enhance knowledge sharing and openness to leading national institutions in the fields of space and astronomy in Jordan, students from the College of Aviation Sciences at the university participated in the specialized training course titled "Introduction to Space Science and Technology," jointly organized by the Jordanian Royal Geographic Center and the Electronics and Space Community branch (IEEE AESS) at Princess Sumaya University for Technology, with the participation of Electronics and Space Community (AESS) members at the university.
The course aimed to develop the students' scientific knowledge and enhance their skills in the fields of space science and technology, thereby broadening their academic horizons and linking theoretical knowledge with modern practical applications. The course included (10) training lectures, providing an advanced educational platform that allowed Arab Amman University students to keep abreast of the latest developments in the field of space and the technology currently used. The course also addressed precise scientific topics including the study of electromagnetic radiation and its interaction with the atmosphere and Earth, understanding space weather phenomena and the impact of solar activity on technical systems, in addition to reviewing satellite technology and its practical applications in fields like remote sensing and communications.
The participation of Arab Amman University students in this event is part of the university's vision to enable its students to engage in quality external training environments and build cooperation bridges, contributing to the exchange of academic experiences and honing the students' skills in the fields of space technology and aviation, in alignment with national orientations to enhance scientific capabilities in this area.
