Khaberni - The College of Nursing at Zaytoonah University of Jordan carried out an awareness community activity at the headquarters of the Palestinian Call Organization in Jerash Camp, targeting a group of elderly women in the camp. The activity was part of the college's commitment to enhancing the health and psychological awareness of the elderly and meeting their special needs.
The comprehensive program prepared by the college included a number of interactive and awareness sections, notably mental activity to stimulate memory, and sports exercises suitable for the elderly in accordance with their physical capabilities. It also included awareness about proper nutrition in old age, activities to improve balance and posture and prevent falls, enhancing communication and effective contact skills, as well as education about the importance of sleep quality and its impact on general health.
The activity was characterized by a spirit of positive interaction and active participation from the women, which clearly reflected on their benefit and satisfaction with the presented sections. At the end of the activity, the Palestinian Call Organization expressed its appreciation and gratitude to Zaytoonah University of Jordan and the College of Nursing, valuing the sincere efforts and vital role that the university plays in serving the local community.
