Khaberni - In a step to enhance international cooperation, strengthen regional relations, and exchange expertise in the field of higher education among universities, the president of Arab American University, Professor Dr. Mohammad Al-Widian visited the Iraqi Kurdistan region, invited formally by the president of Tishk University, Prof. Dr. Sultan Abu Orabi. During the visit, two cooperation agreements were signed with Tishk University and Bayan University. These agreements aim to enhance the bonds of cooperation between Arab American University and the universities in the Iraqi Kurdistan region, and exchange academic and scientific expertise and information in various disciplines, in addition to providing opportunities for students and researchers, which contributes to the development of the educational and research process for all parties involved.
Under these agreements, the three universities will organize joint international conferences in various fields, along with holding seminars and workshops, and activating student and faculty exchange programs, which will enhance the knowledge flow and contribute to the exchange of cultures and academic experiences between the students and members of both the faculty and administrative bodies at these universities.
It is worth mentioning that this visit comes following the announcement by the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research in the Iraqi Kurdistan region of its official recognition of all Jordanian public and private universities, reflecting the strength of academic relations between the two sides and opening broader prospects for future joint cooperation.
