Will the Security Council Do Anything for Maduro

Khaberni - The International Security Council announced that it will hold a session tomorrow, Monday, regarding the situation in Venezuela under the agenda item titled "Threats to International Peace and Security".

According to the updated bulletin of the council, the session, number 10085, will be at ten in the morning New York time and will not be followed by closed consultations.

Venezuelan President Nicolas Maduro arrived in the United States on Saturday evening local time after being arrested by US forces during a military operation in Caracas, and is expected to appear before a federal court in Manhattan, New York City, tomorrow Monday.

Maduro was taken to the Drug Enforcement Administration offices in New York where he is undergoing preliminary investigation in preparation for his trial, shortly after his arrival on a plane to a military base belonging to the National Guard north of the city.
